About Us

Elizabeth C. Swift, M.A. LPC

Owner & Psychotherapist

Hello! I'm truly honored that you've entrusted me to embark on this therapeutic journey alongside you. As a therapist and a fellow individual who is quite familiar with the majestic peaks and the harsh valleys of our human experience, I understand the importance of holding a secure, safe, and abundantly compassionate space filled with warmth and thoughtful considerations of your challenges as you enter the therapeutic space with me. Additionally, I recognize the importance of my showing up in our shared space as an authentic person – I am unapologetically myself and I can guarantee that the cold clinical encounters of the typical therapy experience does not exist in my corner of the world. I’m on your side, very much like a friend, but with the perspective that only a therapist can offer. You will also find that I’m light-hearted and don’t take myself too seriously. Oh, and I curse in my therapy sessions. :)

As for my magical healing powers, here’s what I have to offer:  Eye-Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), somatic-based treatments, such as Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)/Tapping. These modalities are for the treatment of trauma/PTSD, anxiety, panic, and phobias. I have substantial experience working with post-traumatic stress, depression, anxiety, panic, emotional and physical abuse, childhood/complex trauma, domestic violence, sexuality, and gender-identity concerns as well as healing from narcissistic/toxic relationship dynamics and establishing boundaries.  In addition, I am experienced working with individuals in alternative lifestyles. This includes, but not limited to: individuals involved in sex work, non-monogamy, kink and other relationship dynamics, and non-conventional spiritual practices. I accept you completely as you are and welcome you to the healing space.

As for my educational and experiential background: I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Pennsylvania State University and a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Delaware Valley University. During my time in graduate school, I presented at conferences, participated in the peer review process for research publications and served as a guest lecturer (and eventually, instructor) at my alma mater. Fun fact: I’m the academic great- great-granddaughter of Carl Jung (so is Laurinda)!

A little more about me: I live in the Greater Philadelphia area. I was born and grew up in the beautiful, vast Mojave Desert in Southern California. I have two cats, Sugar and Fats, and a mischievous Dachshund named Franc. In my recreational moments, I like to practice yoga (currently studying to be a certified yoga instructor), ride quads in the desert, travel, read, and rock out at concerts. :)

Therapist & Total Badass

Hello! Over the course of the last decade, I have dedicated my career to the field of counseling within educational settings. Throughout this journey, my primary focus has been on assisting adolescents, teens and young adults as they navigate the various challenges that life presents. My experience encompasses guiding clients through issues such as depression, anxiety, career aspirations, life transitions, interpersonal relationships, and matters related to sexuality, among other personal struggles.

As a counselor, my main goal is to help my clients tap into their inner wisdom and empower them to reach their personal goals. I truly believe that everyone has an innate understanding of themselves, and I approach my work with a focus on the individual, working together to uncover the paths towards positive change.

In my practice, I place a strong emphasis on providing an empathetic and tailored therapeutic presence that aligns with the unique needs of each individual. My aim is to illuminate areas of personal growth, supporting and motivating my clients as they embark on their mental health journeys. I have received specialized training in hypnosis and firmly believe in integrating holistic approaches with traditional therapeutic methods, striving to holistically nurture the well-being of my clients.

Through my own life experiences, I have gained a profound appreciation for the highs and lows that life can bring. These experiences have imparted valuable lessons, particularly the importance of taking charge of one's life. This understanding enables me to empathize with and support individuals who may be confronting similar challenges.

I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Social Sciences from Pennsylvania State University and a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Delaware Valley University. Additionally, I have acquired a post-graduate certification in school counseling from Holy Family University. I’m available for telehealth sessions in Pennsylvania.

Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or would like to explore how we can work together to address your specific needs and goals.

Stephanie R. Brown, M.S, RD, LDN

Nutritionist & Zen Master

Hello! I am here to help you with various dietary health concerns, including disordered eating. I am very comfortable working with kidney disease patients as well as those with food allergies and intolerances, members of the LGBTQIA+ community, and am excited to focus on eating for mental health!  Since what you eat can affect how you feel, this can be a great adjunct to therapy.  I am integrative and functional nutrition-focused and utilize a whole food approach, aiming to foster a healthy relationship with food.  My approach uses various counseling techniques such as motivational interviewing, parts work, somatic practices, and more to help keep your changes sustainable.  The goal is to make a healthy lifestyle easy and enjoyable!

A dietitian for over ten years, I obtained my Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition and completed my Dietetic Internship at Immaculata University, and earned my Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from La Salle University. I served on the Tri-State Renal Dietitian Association (TSRDA) board for six years as the Nominating Committee Chair/Elect and was recently elected Chair-Elect.

I was born and raised in the Philadelphia area.  Outside of work, I enjoy many hobbies, such as traveling to film events, reading, listening to music, and more!

I am currently offering in-person and telehealth services for Pennsylvania and New Jersey residents.  I can work with your other health practitioners, such as doctors or therapists, for a complete team approach. Feel free to reach out via the contact form to start your nutrition journey!
